Indices Trading Open Buy & Sell on MT4 Indices Charts

To open a buy or a sell indices trade in MetaTrader 4 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Indices Trading Quote you want to open a Indices Trade with, open the stock indices chart of the instrument quote by double-clicking on the indices quote, then from the stock indices chart open a buy or sell indices trade using the MT4 order window shown below:

A new buy or sell order to buy or sell indices can be found on the tools menu within the MT4 Indices Trading Platform. "New Order" button key for placing a new trade transaction on MetaTrader 4 software is illustrated below. (Short-Cut Keyboard Keys "F9")

Buy or Sell Stock Indices Trade Order on MetaTrader 4 Platform

As a indices trader, once you select the new order button as illustrated above following trade order window popup will appear. This popup includes the settings for placing a new indices trade.

Choose Buy to open a Buy Trade

Choose Sell to open a Sell Trade

Following Settings are specified for setting up and placing a new indices order:

1. Symbol - Specify the instrument to be traded.
2. Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
3. Stop Loss Stock Indices Order - Set Stop Loss Indices Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending indices orders
4. Take Profit Stock Indices Order - Set Take Profit Indices Order, This option can be set after opening the trade, or for pending indices orders
5. Type: Market Execution or Pending Indices Order
6. Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
7. Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade

To Buy at current stock indices price choose Buy by Market button key

To Sell at current stock indices price choose the Sell by Market button key
