To set a new indices order in MetaTrader 4 platform use the step by step procedure described below:
Place New Stock Indices Trading Order on Tools Menu in MT4 Software
A new stock indices order to buy or sell a trade can be found on the tools menu within the MT4 Platform as illustrated below. New order button key for placing a new index trade is displayed below. (Short-Cut Key board Keys 'F9')
How to Set Indices Orders Order in MetaTrader 4
Placing a New Indices Order
Once you have selected new order button as illustrated above following indices trading order popup window will appear.
This pop up includes the settings for placing a new indices trade order.
How to Set Indices Orders in MT4
Following Order Setting are specified for setting up & placing a new indices trade order:
- Quote - Specify the instrument to be traded.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss Stock Indices Order - Set Stop Loss Indices Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending indices orders
- Take Profit Stock Indices Order - Set Take Profit Indices Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for pending indices orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending Indices Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy Trade
To Buy at current stock indices price & open a new stock indices order select Buy by Market indices order button
To Sell at current stock indices price & open a new stock indices order select Sell by Market indices order button
